Since I posted last time we have found our photographer and florist!
We met the photographer at The Bridal Extravaganza and then I got an email from them offering a discounted price. I had looked at their pictures online and actually saw a girl I went to college with on the website. We met with the woman Kim and I really liked her. Mom and I decided this was it and we went ahead and signed contracts and wrote checks and all that fun stuff.
We also found our florist. She had been reccomended to us by quite a few people. She has done alot of weddings at the church where we are having the ceremony so that made me feel even more comfortable with her. I met the lady and instantly loved her. All the pictures she had were AMAZING! Flowers are something that are really important to me. I love them, I love receiving them and I am excited to have lots of beautiful ones at my wedding. I showed her lots of pictures of stuff I liked. She will make a bouquet for me to see a month or so before the wedding so that makes me feel better. We also decided to do flowers on the pews so I am really excited about that. As we were leaving, the florist, Kim, mentioned that she has linens that she lets her brides use at no cost. She showed us what she had and of course I loved the purple stuff!!! So we are still working on it and are going to take the sample she gave us to the reception place and see how it looks, but I am pretty sure we will be using those.
Other than wedding stuff I have just been busy with work! We are in full-blown TAKS season right now, so that always comes with stresses! I still have two months until the Math TAKS test which is the subject I teach, but it is just so much stress!!! I am working on groups for my kids and doing stations in my room. I hope to get it all finalized this week and start doing them next week!
We are moving in two weeks. I am excited and anxious. Excited because it's 400 more sq. feet and another bedroom and bathroom, and we NEED more space. This little 600 sq. foot apartment is not enough for two people! I am a little anxious because it's in Clear Lake, so it will be an adjustment. Our commutes are going to be longer and just getting used to going to new places. I know where everything is at our HEB!!! Haha. We have started packing what we can. I got alot done yesterday so I am feeling better about that!
Last weekend we went and saw The Blaggards play at Irish Fest..or at least that is what we call it. Well a photographer for the Houston Chronicle was there and took our pic and we were the first picture you see on the Houston Chronicle website for a while, and we were then on the entertainment section!

We had alot of fun that day and as always The Blaggards were AMAZING! We also met the guy Lars who is playing the bagpipes at our wedding. I know bagpipes aren't exactly normal, but that is the one thing that Ryan really wanted! Lars was very nice and we got to hear him play as well!
We have a really busy few weeks coming up. Next weekend we are getting bridesmaid dresses, and going out for a friend's birthday. Then we are moving the following weekend. March isn't looking too crazy, but April is already packed. A good friend from college is getting married in San Antonio, my sister and brother in law are doing the MS150 and we need to do engagement pictures! Also, my family bridal shower is going to be sometime in there as well!
Lots of exciting things coming up. According to the counter on my FB page we have 146 days to the wedding!
My vote is for the Blaggards to play at your reception...I'm just saying!!
